Dronald: Your Guide to Drone Rules

The new EU regulation 2019/947 covering the rules and procedures for drone operations has entered into force on 31 December 2020. As a response, we have launched Dronald: An interactive guide that helps drone operators to comply with the new EU rules.

Dronald is a joint venture of Dronetag and the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic. As the amount of regulation-related questions kept increasing, we have decided to utilize our expertise and share the important information with the drone community in a friendly way.

Thus, Dronald was born. It is a web app that asks drone operators a few simple questions and then provides them tailored information based on their intended flight. Dronald has the answers to the following questions and many more:

Where am I allowed to fly with my drone?
Am I required to register myself as a drone operator?
Do I need any special permits for my operation?
How to legally fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS)?

Try out Dronald on your own and let us know what you think!
